I was finally able to take some time and make a Pendant Lamp with white yarn and DIY glue. We had two missing Lamps in the hallway and now we only missing one. I took the idea from Pinterest but I decided to try it out with homemade glue/fabric stiffener (cornstarch, white flour, and warm water) being that my little one wanted to help and he tends to taste everything. The project is pretty simple, but it takes about 24 hours to completely dry due to the nature of the glue. I am happy with the results, but I thing I will make a bigger lamp for the second project.
Materials:
- Beach ball or round balloon of size of your choice
- Yarn of any color you want
- DIY Glue/ fabric stiffener (Mix cornstarch 1/2 cup , white flour 1/2, hot water, and allow to cool) or just regular sticky glue

Steps:
- Inflate ball or balloon
- Place glue in a large container
- Deep and soak yarn in Glue (pull end and work by yards)
- Tie end to knot of the balloon or ball
- Begin to wrap yarn around as the soaked yard adheres to the ball
- Leave an empty opening to be able to hold lamp in place when done (optional)
- Add as many yarn as you need and leave an even covering around your lamp
- Hang the lamp from the knot and allow 24 hrs to dry
- Pock the balloon or deflate ball
